They should hold regular/permanent positions in Government recognized research and academic institutions / Universities located in any of the North Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura) working continuously for the last 2-years and should be actively engaged in Biotechnology or related Research & Development work. Number of 2011 ICMR International Fellowship: 12 young Scientists and 6 Senior Scientist

Duration of ICMR International Fellowship 2011: 3-6 months for Young Scientist and 10-15 days for Senior Scientists.

• Candidates must have secured Admission or have applied for Admission in reputable foreign universities for courses commencing from September 2011 but not later than February 2012.
• Candidates studying in the Final Year of the Degree / Diploma course are also eligible to apply provided they produce their final year certificates before June, 2011.

The final Interview of the Candidates will take place in the month of July 2011. The Interview date will be intimated to the selected Candidates by the end of May 2011.
